#8 – Belgian Malinois

Belgian Malinois are very active and intelligent dogs. They are arguably some of the top performing dog breeds today, excelling in police, military, search and rescue, obedience, agility and even dock diving and flyball. These dogs are generally bred solely for their working ability and do make good house pets, as they need a very high amount of mental and physical stimulation. While there are exceptions to every rule, the Malinois is likely a poor choice for an inexperienced owner.
