#7 – Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Recognizable as the “curly-coated lab,” the Chesapeake gets its name from where it came from: the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. The breed is the result of mixing Newfoundlands with local retrievers, including the English Otter Hound, Flat-Coat and Curly-Coated Retrievers. (www.akc.org)
