I used Bil Jac large breed puppy chow mixed 50/50 with pedigree puppy chow for the first year, then switched over to pedigree large breed adult for my blue nose and he’s been the healthiest and strongest dog I’ve owned

I use Taste of the Wild. I switch around from lamb, salmon, to beef. I used to have them on neutra source, Origin, and Acana. My babies are so spoiled, I wish I could just give them a dog food that they really, really love without having to put goodies in it.

I’ve always fed Boogie Taste of the Wild. He prefers Southwest Canyon, but they have many great kinds. He’s always had a beautiful coat and healthy weight. I also occasionally give him Nulo Freestyle beef, beef liver, and Kale on top of his kibble as an added treat and nutrition

Purina puppy chow is all I have ever fed my dogs. I’ve had. Not one has ever had eating issues or anything else I also feed it to my cats! They also catch rabbits, squirrels, and mice! I’ve had pits, labs, German Shepherd, Australian shepherd and pound hounds. I started the puppy we had on puppy chow and just moved up! Good luck!

I’ve worked in the veterinary field for 21 years. Purina Proplan, Science Diet, and Royal Canin are the only 3 we recommend since they have veterinarians who oversee and quality control for manufacturing. I have personally used Science Diet and Purina Proplan for my pets for years.

Science Diet is recommended by all the shelters and vets here, but it’s expensive. I get my baby a brand called Ultimates. It used to be called Propac. I don’t know who the manufacturer is, but I get it at a local pet store chain called Feeders Supply.

I fed my pups Whole Hearted for over 6 years until my dog developed acid reflux. Immediately after I switched to Purina (sensitive), my pit had a seizure. I have no clue if it is truly linked, but I never had issues until I switched. Recently went to Solid Gold and am doing well so far.

I used Purina Puppy Chow when Zeus was a puppy. We still use Purina Puppy Chow now with the vet’s approval because all adult dog food makes Zeus throw up. We just have to monitor how much he eats and give him extra exercise because puppy chow is more fatting then adult, and the vet supplements the vitamins he is not getting from the puppy chow that he would get from the adult Purina. He is also allergic to grass, so he has to take an allergy pill from the vet every day so he doesn’t itch from going to potty and lose patches of hair. Zeus has allergies, lol, so it is really up to you and the vet, and how well your pitty tolerates the food.

I used Merrick for my dog, she was allergic to corn, and I think rice too. So her food was the grain free. Merrick is NOT heavy on legumes, so she never had any heart issues. She also got wet food or rehydrated raw mixed in. I would not touch anything with corn at all, and if meat isn’t the first ingredient id avoid that food too. Edit: my girl passed away in November from bladder cancer. She was 14, would have been 15 in April

All my dogs eat Purina One. I used Purina One puppy for large breed for our pit xl. The pit is on Purina One Large Breed Adult food now. My jack Russell’s are 14 and 15 years old and have been eating Purina One for 7 years and older.
