In Tampa Bay, a sheriff’s deputy saved a stray Pit Bull from being euthanized.
Deputy Noah Johnson is used to finding these lost animals during his shift. And just recently, he came upon a stray Pit Bull wandering in an apartment complex. The poor thing was extremely emaciated that his rib cage and hip bones were clearly visible.
The dog wasn’t aggressive and he was wagging his tail and seemed friendly. Deputy Johnson then took the dog to the closest vet and found out that he had no microchip. It worried him that this Pit Bull may just be euthanized. He knew he had to do something.

Luckily, he ran into the editor-in-chief of a local dog magazine named The New Barker and they decided to post the story on their Facebook page.

The story went viral and in just 24 hours, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay answered the call and took the dog in. Watch the video below for the full story!
The Facebook post saved the Pit Bull from possible euthanization. Thanks to Deputy Noah Johnson, to the New Barker editor-in-chief Anna Cook, and to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, the Pit Bull is now in safe hands. He now has a chance in finding a loving, forever home.
