This is such a ‘feel good’ story! Losing a pet is heartbreaking but we promise you a happy ending with this story!
Jack, Mike’s dog, disappeared three years ago, but he never gave up hope that he would see his beloved furry companion again. He spent every free moment looking for him and posting flyers. Despite his optimism, the time without Jack was heartbreaking.

“Ever since I lost him, I haven’t been the same really,” Mike said. “We did everything together, like I’d even bring him to work half the time, and any time I’d go fishing, he was there. We just did everything together. He was there no matter what I was doing.”
Jack received a phone call from an animal hospital eight hours away one day. The individual on the phone inquired if Mike’s name was Mike, and whether he had a dog named Jack.

Mike explained to them that he had a dog named Jack who he lost a few years back. The person then said that they had Jack there at their hospital.
However, before Mike got too worked up, he requested that the hospital check for unique features to ensure that it was truly Jack. He informed them that Jack had a little bit of brown in one eye and one nail on one of his front paws was entirely black. The hospital subsequently verified both of these, and Mike knew with 100% certainty that this was Jack.

Jack was discovered on the side of a road nearly 500 miles away. He is now recovering at the hospital, where he will be reunited with his human. Mike got in his car and drove straight to the hospital to see his best friend again.

Jack ran toward Mike immediately, wagging his tail. Despite being three years since they last saw each other, it was clear to Jack that it was Mike. For some belly rubs, Jack rolled onto his back and whined and howled with delight. You’re going to LOVE this video below!
