BEWARE! These Dogs Can’t Hold Their Lickers!

| October 24, 2015

Ever given a dog peanut butter? If so, then you have seen the cuteness that ensues as the dog licks and lick, trying to eat the sticky delicious treat.

That exact occurrence is what lead internationally recognized animal photographer Ty Foster, to his new book, LICK (published by KNOCK KNOCK in Venice, California).

“The inspiration for LICK came out of nowhere while working on a job for a client,” Foster told iHeartDogs.com “By pure coincidence I grabbed peanut butter from the kitchen to see how that would work as a treat for the dog that I had in-studio that day.  By the end of that session I had these amazing, ridiculous portraits of Tech (the dog) licking. I knew immediately I had to try this on different breeds and different ages.”

Foster, who has been photographing animals since 2009, says growing up he really wanted to be a vet…that was, until, he went to the vet’s with his dad and saw what they really did. He lost interest then and there. But he still loved animals and wanted to “hang out” with them all day.

“When I started to take photography more seriously and began to see it as a potential career, I knew I wanted to focus on animals,” he said.

As part of the launch of the book, KNOCK KNOCK publishing and Foster offered free dog portraits at Lake Hollywood Park in Los Angeles, California. Watch the cuteness that unfolds in this behind-the-scenes video created by Shark Pig productions (a local Los Angeles production company):

His book, LICK, is available through Knock Knock now and is 91-pages of pure slobbery cuteness – no drool cloth needed. (The following images are printed with expression permission from KNOCK KNOCK publishing)
