Church Provides Food Not Just For People Who Need It, But Also For Their Pets

| Published on November 18, 2015

Even if you lose everything that you own, you will never lose your dog’s loyalty. Your dog will always be by your side regardless if you are rich or poor. But when you have lost everything, when you have very little food left, it can be a struggle to feed both yourself and your beloved dog.

The Grace Episcopal Church in Lockport understands that dilemma, so aside from giving food for people in need, they now have a Pet Food Pantry that provides food for their pets as well. This amazing church provides more than just food for pets, they also provide them with a place to stay.

And since winter is just around the corner, the Grace Episcopal Church has a Code Blue for Pets. When the temperature is below 15 degrees, the Grace Episcopal Church can pick up the pets of those who are homeless and care for them while their owners are at the emergency shelters. The church is selling bracelets to help fund this program. They are also accepting donations at their website.
