In the glamorous yet competitive world of cat shows, judges are trained to evaluate every whisker, paw, and purr with precision and impartiality. But during a recent event sponsored by the Cat Fancier’s Association (CFA), a mischievous young Sphynx kitten named Ice Cream turned heads—not for her flawless posture or feline finesse, but for her bold attempt to sway the outcome with sheer affection. Rather than waiting patiently to be scored, this hairless cat decided to work the room—and the judge—with irresistible charm and cuddly antics.

At a recent event hosted by the Cat Fancier’s Association (CFA), the owner of SilkySmoothSphynxCats introduced two of her youngest kittens to the competitive circuit. While first-time show cats often display nervousness or shyness, one of the kittens—an affectionate, playful little Sphynx named Ice Cream—had other plans.

Instead of anxiously waiting to be judged, Ice Cream took a more proactive (and hilarious) approach: cozying up to the judge in what many onlookers called an obvious attempt at feline bribery.

The entire interaction was caught on camera and quickly made its way to TikTok, where it racked up thousands of views in a matter of hours. The video shows Ice Cream crawling onto the judge’s chest, nuzzling affectionately, and clearly enjoying every second of attention.

Despite her best efforts to remain professional and impartial, the judge was visibly caught off guard by the kitten’s bold display of affection. She kept a straight face—barely—but TikTok commenters were quick to call out the interaction for what it clearly was: a “shameless bribe” of cuddles and charm.

“Corruption!!” one commenter joked. Others praised Ice Cream’s showmanship, with one user writing, “She’s not competing—she’s campaigning!”

While Ice Cream’s antics may have seemed out of the ordinary, this type of behavior is fairly typical of the Sphynx breed. Sphynx cats are famous for their affectionate, people-loving nature, often described as part-cat, part-dog, and part-monkey thanks to their curious, energetic personalities.

Originating in Toronto, Canada, the first hairless kitten was born in 1966 to a domestic cat due to a natural recessive gene mutation. Breeders spent decades carefully developing the Sphynx into a recognized breed. In 1998, the CFA officially accepted the Sphynx for registration, and by 2002, the breed had earned Championship status—a huge milestone, particularly as it marked the first Canadian cat breed to be formally recognized.

Although it’s easy to be mesmerized by the Sphynx’s exotic, almost alien-like appearance, there’s much more to these cats than just their lack of fur. Their oversized ears, lemon-shaped eyes, and suede-textured skin give them a distinctive look, but it’s their outgoing nature that truly wins people over.

Unlike more reserved feline breeds, Sphynx cats are attention seekers. They crave human interaction, love being the center of activity, and often follow their owners from room to room. Without fur to keep them warm, they’re notorious heat-seekers—which often translates into constant snuggling and sleeping under blankets or against people.

And yes, they talk—a lot. From chirps and meows to strange little grumbles, a Sphynx won’t hesitate to let you know how they feel. They thrive in homes where companionship is abundant and often do best with another cat (or two) to play with.

Ice Cream’s now-famous moment was the perfect mix of Sphynx charm, youthful mischief, and perfect comedic timing. For a kitten at her first show, she didn’t just hold her own—she dominated the moment with a strategy no one could have anticipated: cuddly manipulation.

While it’s unclear whether Ice Cream’s performance swayed the judge’s final decision, it hardly matters. She’s now the unofficial sweetheart of the cat show scene and a rising star on social media.

Shortly after being released, he became overcome by rage and frustration and began violently wailing on his poor, trembling, frightened dog. It's clear that this man's violent tendencies didn't decrease after serving his time.

What Ice Cream did might not be in the official rulebook, but it was pure genius in the hearts of viewers everywhere. Her affectionate ploy is a reminder of why Sphynx cats are such a beloved breed: full of personality, warmth, and mischief.

Whether you’re a seasoned cat owner or considering your first feline friend, the Sphynx is a breed worth exploring—just be prepared for a life filled with cuddles, chatter, and the occasional attempt at feline persuasion.
