Rose, a loving and affectionate Pit Bull, has come a long way from her days of neglect and confinement. Her journey to a loving home began when her original owner’s roommate, a close friend of Rose’s mom, Maddy, noticed the poor conditions she was living in. Rose was kept in a crate for days at a time, with no food, water, or attention. Determined to help, Maddy gave the dog’s owner an ultimatum: either improve the living conditions or find Rose a new home.
When Rose’s owner failed to make any changes, Maddy decided to take matters into her own hands. She went to the house to rescue Rose, only to find that the dog had been left alone in her crate with no food or water while her owner skipped town. Despite her weakened state, Rose managed to wag her tail and give her new mom some kisses.
Initially, the plan was to find Rose a new home with someone who would take proper care of her. As a broke grad student, Maddy was unsure if she could afford to keep the dog herself. But Rose’s loving nature and desire for affection quickly won her over. The Pit Bull would sit with her paw on her mom’s leg, staring at her with love and devotion.
Rose’s appetite for food and love grew as she settled into her new home. She would even bark at Maddy to remind her to feed her if she got distracted while preparing her meals. Rose’s love for her new family extended to her owner’s parents, who quickly fell in love with the sweet Pit Bull as well.
Despite the negative stigma surrounding Rose’s breed, the pup has proven that the Pit Bull stereotype is completely bogus. Maddy believes that those who hold these negative views are missing out on the opportunity to experience the love and loyalty that dogs like Rose have to offer.
Now, Rose is thriving in her new home, surrounded by love and affection. Maddy can’t imagine life without her, and Rose has undoubtedly found where she was meant to be.
