Sangamon County Animal Control & Adoption Center is actively investigating a disturbing animal cruelty case after the young puppy, now named Yara, was discovered in an alarming condition. Yara was found near the Mechanicsburg blacktop with electrical tape wrapped tightly around her mouth. The tape had been secured so firmly that it caused severe injuries to her muzzle. In addition to the devastating facial wounds, she was also suffering from a badly broken front leg.
