They say that love can last a lifetime, and in the case of Tommy, he isn’t letting go even though his owner has passed away. Once a stray living on the streets of Italy, Tommy, a German Shepherd Mix, was taken in by Maria, an avid church goer, who brought her dog with her wherever she went–including church. The last time the two saw each other was the day of her passing, at the same church where she had her funeral a few days later.
Tommy attended the funeral on his own, and has been coming to mass every day since–all on his own, no one with him. An unspeakable act of loyalty that proves to us as humans that our dogs will always love us, even if our time comes before theirs. Simply remarkable, take a look:
