In Greenville, South Carolina, a shelter pup who got her leg amputated, found a forever home and a best friend with a woman who went through a similar surgery.
Bridget was a shelter pup who needed a home and an operation. Bridget’s arm was malformed. They didn’t know if Bridget was born with the misshapen arm or if that was a result of an injury. But to avoid complications, Bridget’s leg had to be amputated. So the Greenville Humane Society put up a photo of her on their Facebook page, asking for donations to fund Bridget’s amputation.

A woman named Katelind Marie Riner saw the post and immediately posted a comment expressing her interest in adopting Bridget. It turns out Katelind went through a similar surgery. She immediately fell in love with Bridget. She just knew that this pup was going to be a great companion.
