Dog Rescued From Dog Meat Farm Walks On Grass Outside A Wire Cage For First Time

| Published on October 7, 2015

Pocket (formerly known as Sox) is one of the 100 dogs who were rescued from a dog meat farm in Korea. Ever since he was a puppy, all that Pocket knew was the filthy metal cage that contained him and the other dogs around. Pocket didn’t know what a home was, he didn’t know what love was, he didn’t know what it was like to be cared for.

Fortunately, some very kind people from Humane Society International rescued Pocket and the other dogs from that horrible prison. That dog meat farm is closed for good and all the dogs are now safe. Pocket found a forever home, and for the very first time, Pocket felt a loving and kind human touch. He finally felt safe. There was a lot of new things that he felt and he saw. And for the very first time, after being locked up in that cold metal cage, Pocket was able to walk on grass. Watch the video below!

Watching this poor dog take his first steps on the grass brought tears to my eyes. Pocket is so lucky that he was rescued. But there are still so many out there who are still locked up in a cage, so many who are in need of our help.

You can help rescue dogs like Pocket. Visit Humane Society International for more info.
