A woman noticed a little black dog running around in her neighborhood. Worried about the dog’s safety, she contacted a rescue group and requested their assistance. The rescue group agreed to help and went to the location. Initially, they were unable to locate the dog and phoned the woman for directions. She directed them to go down the street.
The rescuers spotted a fast black dog running down the middle of the street. They followed him, hoping he would eventually slow down. After a prolonged chase, they were able to pull over and the scared but friendly dog approached them.

A rescuer petted the dog and picked it up, giving it a reassuring hug. The dog was placed in the rescuer’s vehicle and sat in the crate with good posture, suggesting it may have been well-trained.

After returning to the rescue center, the dog was provided with food and water, which he happily consumed. Then, he was given a bath and dried up before the rescuers scanned him for a microchip. The scan revealed that he was chipped, his name was Marli, and he was 6 years old.

Hopefully, the rescuers can contact Marli’s family and they are willing to take their dog back. It’s sad to know that many dogs with microchips go missing and their owners don’t want them back. The rescuers are calling Marli’s owners with hopeful anticipation.
There are a lot of animals here that need homes, and the shelter is already full of dogs that haven’t been adopted. They didn’t want Marli to end up there as well.

After the phone call, the rescuers now have a plan of action. To avoid spoiling the story, we won’t give away the rest of it, but rest assured that Marli will never be alone again, no matter what happens.
