Army Spc. Andrew Brown and his canine partner Rocky got injured during one of their operations in Afghanistan. Brown and Rocky were hurt when a Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded while they were searching for a structure in support of ongoing operations.
Brown and Rocky are now at the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C, were they are treated side by side in the same room.
The photo above was posted on the 89th Military Police Brigade’s Facebook page yesterday, and it now has 5 thousand likes and has been shared more than 2000 times.
Pictured above is Rocky with a Purple Heart pinned to his collar. The Purple Heart is given to those who are wounded or killed in service. The photo now has more than 89 thousand likes on Facebook and has 118,000 shares!
Thankfully, the two are recovering and are doing well.
