When Jelena Simic Petrovic found and rescued a one-month-old Lab puppy from the side of the road, she had no idea that the pup would end up rescuing them.
Petrovic, who lives in Serbia, is a professional photographer. When she brought home Mina, she started to take images of her and her son, Djordje.
Mina and Djordje bonded instantly and became best friends.
“Now I sometimes wonder who saved whom, because she has brought great joy and laughter into our lives, many memorable moments,” Petrovic told iHeartDogs.com. “But memories fade, so I decided to keep my memories alive by photographing them. Everything is passing, but the photography will remain.”
She went on to explain that she grew up with animals and has always had a passion for them, as well as children. The two are definitely her biggest inspirations for her stunning photographs.
In the future, she hopes to expand and take images of other kids with their pets, to showcase the amazing bond between them.
