Whenever you buy products from the iHeartDogs store, part of that profit goes to Greater Good Charities, an organization that helps lots of animals in need. Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program donates food and other essential supplies to shelters and rescues. Those donations have saved the lives of many dogs, including a pup known as Frozen.

A man named Kyle met Frozen in a parking lot on a dark and rainy night. The pup was whining, but people were trying to shoo her away. Kyle went to a nearby restaurant and picked up some grilled chicken for Frozen. When he offered it to her, he instantly gained her trust and she followed him home.

Frozen happily entered the man’s home, where she allowed him to dry her off. When he got a better look at her, he saw how severely malnourished she was. She had bruises on her legs and protruding hip and rib bones. Kyle quickly fell in love with the weak pup, so he decided to keep her and nurse her back to health.

Donations for Frozen

Unfortunately, since Kyle hadn’t planned on adopting a dog, he didn’t have food, supplies, or money for vet care prepared. So, he reached out to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society in Alabama and told them Frozen’s story. The humane society wanted to help the pup live her best life, so they signed Kyle up for their Pet Pantry Program.

Thanks to the humane society’s help, Kyle now receives nutritious food for Frozen and has a vaccine clinic scheduled. These donations come from programs like the GOODS Program.

“This program, and this donation, have made excellent and nutritious food accessible to animals who otherwise would not have it. The GBHS Pet Pantry serves animals and their owners in their great of need, and Greater Good Charities, the GOODS Program, and MuttNation have made this work possible to continue,” Greater Birmingham Humane Society wrote.

Every time you shop at the iHeartDogs store, you’re helping dogs like Frozen get a second chance at life. Even small purchases can make a huge difference for animals in need. So, thank you to all the heroes who have bought products to make an impact!
