Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program donates food and other essential pet supplies to shelters and rescues across the United States. Many dogs have gotten a second chance at life thanks to these incredible donations. A Terrier mix named Pup is an excellent example of a dog whose life has been greatly impacted.

Kyle rescued a 7-year-old dog named Pup from a busy street in Las Vegas, and the two formed an instant bond. After searching for Pup’s owners for a while with no success, Kyle decided to keep Pup.

However, Kyle had a stroke, which turned his life upside down. He wasn’t able to work for a while, and as a result, he didn’t have as much money to support Pup. He would sometimes feed her table scraps or smaller portions just to get by. It wasn’t the life Pup deserved, but the two didn’t want to have to part ways.

Luckily, when Hearts Alive Village of Las Vegas heard about Kyle’s situation, they were eager to help. Through their pet food bank, they donated a bag of dog food and other supplies to Kyle.

Hearts Alive Village is able to offer healthy meals to dogs because of the donations they receive from the GOODS Program. Those food donations not only help the rescue’s adoptable animals, but they also help dog parents in the community properly care for their pets during tough times. Pet parents in need can now make sure they have necessities for their pets and themselves without having to choose only one or the other.

“Thanks to Greater Good Charities and MuttNation, Pup and Kyle don’t have to worry about her next meal! Pup is getting the adequate nutrition she needs and is no longer eating table scraps,” Hearts Alive Village wrote.
