Keystone Light Will Pay You $10K For Your Dog To Be Their Mascot

| March 18, 2020

Let’s face it, in this Instagram day and age, everyone secretly dreams of their pup becoming a huge star. Fame seems more accessible than ever… for our cute dogs at least. A new contest from Keystone Light might just give you and your dog that chance.

Keystone Light is searching for the perfect doggie mascot to promote their new beer. The “Search For Lil’ Breezy Keezy Contest” officially began on March 9th, 2020 and continues through April 25th. The brand announced the contest on Instagram this week.

“Casting Call! In celebration of Keystone Light’s new Keylightful, a refreshing mix of raspberry and lime flavors and Keystone Light, we’re searching for our first ever canine mascot, Lil’ Breezy Keezy.”

The current packaging features a French Bulldog in shades as Lil’ Breezy Keezy. The rules don’t require your dog to be that breed though, so don’t let that discourage your entry.

This search for Lil’ Breezy Keezy highlights the beer brand’s animal welfare interests. Keylightful will commence a year-long partnership with the ASPCA and plans to donate $50,000 to support the organizations animal rescue efforts.

The official new mascot will bring home $10,000 and a year’s supply of Keyightful for their family. Plus, star power! But the money and beer are nice too.

The competition looks steep, but at least the hashtags are fun to follow. Not that this really needs to be said, but you shouldn’t feed your dog any actual beer (unless it’s specifically “beer” for dogs.)

How To Enter Your Dog

Think your dog has that neon-colored raspberry “it” factor? Here’s how you can give them their chance at stardom:

  • Since Keystone is a beer, after all, contest entering humans must be at least 21 years of age. Dog age is irrelevant.
  • Post a photo of your dog on Instagram and tag @KeystoneLightOfficial. The photo caption should be a 100-words-or-less explanation of why your pup deserves to be the official Lil’ Breezy Keezy.
  • Instagram entries must include the hashtags #SearchForLilKeezy and #Contest in order to be eligible.
  • To submit via email instead, send your dog photo and caption to lilbreezykeezy@keylightful.com by April 10th.

The potential winner may be subject to a background check before the prize can be awarded. If you/your dog win, you’ll be notified via email.

Read the official contest rules for more information. Best of luck to your dog and may one of you be the lucky stage parent soon!
