A baby goat named Lily was rejected by her mother and needed human intervention. The farmer reached out for help, unsure whether Lily would survive. Alexa and her family took her in. The teeny goat was the size of a box of Kleenex! The family had tons of fun putting her next to household items to compare her size. Lily was even smaller than a drinking glass!

When Lily arrived at Alexa’s family farm, it was wintertime. Her size and low temps didn’t mix, so she was kept indoors. But she did make her rounds with Alexa meeting all the farm residents. Lily wanted to play with the animals, but they didn’t reciprocate the feeling. She tried to play with their bunny, and it was a no-go, as well as their cat. The baby goat seemed to be a magnet for rejection, but Alexa was determined to change Lily’s course.

Lily remained inside with the family for three months. Alexa wanted Lily to “have a real goat experience,” and when she was a little bigger, it was time to integrate her onto the farm. Did the baby goat adjust to life outside with new friends? Did they finally learn to accept her? To find out, check out Lily’s journey below.
