Jack received a phone call from an animal hospital eight hours away one day. The individual on the line inquired about Mike’s name and whether he had a dog named Jack.
After becoming a little too enthusiastic, Mike wanted the hospital to check for certain features to ensure that it was Jack. He stated that one of Jack’s front paws had one nail on one of his front paws that was entirely black and that Jack had a tiny amount of brown in one eye. Both were verified by the hospital, and Mike knew it was Jack!

Jack was discovered on the side of the highway, almost 500 miles away. He was healthy, and he was now recuperating at the hospital, where he would be reunited with his human. Mike got straight in his car and drove to the hospital to see his pet once more.

Jack ran toward Mike as soon as he saw him, wagging his tail. Despite being three years since they had last seen each other, it was clear that Jack recognized Mike at once. When Mike walked up to him and held him, Jack sighed and howled with pleasure. He then flipped over for some belly scratches.
