Special Needs Dog Gets Rescued… Then Finds His Loving, Forever Home!

| Published on December 15, 2015

There’s a saying that goes, “Never judge a book by its cover.”

Some dogs may not measure up to breed standards, some dogs may even be deformed–but that doesn’t mean that they’re not capable of being a loyal, loving, and wonderful canine companion.

Everyone, meet Loki–a dog who found his happy ending despite his odd appearance.

Furever Home Rescue–a small but fierce animal rescue located in Minnesota, rescued Loki from a shelter in Texas. According to their Facebook Post, Loki had several congenital deformities due to what is believed to be a breeding experiment gone wrong.

Loki may have several health issues, but that doesn’t stop him from being the happy, friendly, and playful dog that he is. Furever Home Rescue drove all the way from Minnesota to Texas to pick him up.

Loki is a special needs dog. His airway is the same size as a straw, he has a concave chest, a deviated septum, an enlarged heart, and leg deformities.

But thanks to donations, Loki had the surgery needed to help him breathe better and additional surgery to straighten his legs.

After taking care of some of Loki’s health issues, he was then put up for adoption. And luckily, he found a loving home in no time!

Look at how happy and how loved he is! We are so happy for you, Loki!

Loki is lucky to have found a loving, forever home. But there are still a lot of dogs out there who are hoping to find a family to adopt them.

So please, if you ever are thinking of getting a dog, please consider adopting one from a shelter. Also, please don’t overlook the ones who are a little deformed. They can be just as loving and sweet as any other dog.

You can help Fur-Ever Home Rescue with their mission by sending your donations to them. Visit their website or their Facebook Page for more info.
