For a person that deals with laying down the law on a daily basis, smiles may not be abundant for the majority of their day. Meet Sabrina Johnson of Inkster, Michigan, a district judge for the 22nd district court. Before she met Mikey, her beloved dog, she knew there was something missing in her life. And Mikey needed someone just like Sabrina, who would appreciate him–despite the fact that he is completely blind. Instantly after their chance meeting, Sabrina knew that this sweet Pug was just the dog for her, who needed her loyalty and devotion for the rest of his life.
“I got him from rescue, and he really rescued me,” Johnson says in the sweet video below. “He’s just the love of my life.” This precious Pug is an inspiration to us all that sometimes when life gives you lemons, you just gotta go ahead and make yourself some lemonade!
We are so thankful that Mikey gets all the love and kindness he deserves after facing so much adversity. Judge Johnson even celebrated his “Gotcha Day” with cake!
