Dogs are not just pets, they are family. And as we’ve heard in the Disney movie Lilo and Stitch, with family, no one should get left behind. So when we watched the video below, it broke our hearts. How could anyone leave their poor dogs behind?
World Animal Awareness Society, a nonprofit production company that films animals interacting with humans, rode along with volunteers Sonya Franklin and Anna Barbosa of Houston K911 Rescue. Sonya and Anna have been routinely feeding dogs who they knew were in need of help. But on that day, they stumbled upon something so heartbreaking. They passed by a house that has been abandoned for months. What was heartbreaking was that the owners of the house left four dogs behind. One of them was even chained in the backyard. They were so hungry that they immediately started chowing down the food that Sonya and Anna gave them. And as they were feeding the poor abandoned dogs, one hungry dog down the street was looking at them. Watch how this heartbreaking situation turned out in the video below!
