Most people who go to shelters to adopt dogs would look for a younger dog, preferably a puppy. Puppies are adorable and very playful and people tend to choose them over the older ones. The older dogs then get overlooked, leaving them to spend the rest of their days in the shelter.
Senior dogs need homes too. Not only are they loyal companions, they are very sweet and they too can be as adorable as puppies.
