Sometimes, friendships can be formed in the most dire circumstances. Something beautiful can happen and be found despite of the struggles and hardships. Just like what happened to an abandoned dog and a puppy who met at an emergency room.
Olaf is a one-year-old Mastiff who was surrendered by his family to a shelter just a week before Christmas. Olaf had an infected wound in his leg caused by a snake bite. And since he needed emergency care, the shelter sent him to Second Chance Rescue— an animal rescue organization that focuses on medical cases as well as abused & neglected animals.

On the other hand, Mariah is a six-week-old pup who was found on Christmas eve, abandoned in a parking lot. Poor little Mariah was hypothermic, she needed immediate medical attention, so Second Chance Rescue brought her to the hospital.
