The UK-based company, Canine Cottages is searching for the perfect pooch to fill the position of Canine Critic.

The hours are “between the time of sleeping, naps and more sleeping,” benefits include four paid vacations per year with their favorite human, and the salary is a highly competitive mix of “treats and surprises from top dog brands.”

Does your pup have what it takes to land this doggy dream job?

The property managers at Canine Cottages are devoted to helping vacationers choose the perfect dog-friendly holiday rental to enjoy with their four-legged friends. They believe dogs (and sometimes even cats!) deserve to enjoy the beach, lake, mountains, etc., alongside their humans instead of being cooped up in a kennel.

The staff need the help of a Canine Critic to scout out the most desirable doggy digs. The perfect candidate will “have their paws on the ground,” sniffing out fun and adventure during a full week’s holiday and three long weekends at various Canine Cottages properties across the UK.

He or she will also be expected to sample “the finest dog-friendly pubs, attractions and walkies in the area.”

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting cottages for pawfectness
  • Handling walkies on lots of beaches, hills and towns
  • Having paws to the ground and being ready for adventure
  • Being pawfessional at all times while undertaking your duties

In addition, your pooch must have the following Experience and Requirements:

  • Must have had four paws and fur for a minimum of six months (aka: be 6 months old)
  • A love for holidays, car rides, and walkies
  • Some experience with blogging/social media preferable
  • Flexibility to holiday at off-peak times

But don’t get too excited about becoming a trophy human just yet. The position also calls for the chosen dog’s person to be over 18 and perform several important tasks, including:

  • Documenting all holidays through blog posts and social media
  • Transporting, feeding, and washing the sandy fur of the Canine Critic after beach outings
  • Tummy rubs and cuddles for the Canine Critic on demand
  • Aiding the application process to ensure all facts are correct before their paw hits submit
  • Conversing with other humans at Canine Cottages HQ from time to time if needed

For a glimpse at a day in the life of a Canine Cottages Critic, check out this recruitment video!

Is your pooch ready to apply? Click here to fill out an application. The position closes at midnight on Sunday, April 22, 2018.
