Kristina Hollie and her coworker were waiting for the bus in Cambridge, Massachusetts when they came across an adorable sight. A dog was running errands with his mom when they found themselves in a bit of a predicament that resulted in a heartwarming display of love.
This adorable pup and his fur mom stopped for a quick trip into the post office when she was told that her dog could not come in with her. With no other option, she tied her fur baby to the tree directly outside of the post office – but she didn’t stop there.
It was a cold and windy day and the loving fur mom knew that her pup may catch a chill while waiting for her to finish up inside the post office. She then removed the jacket from her own back and began to wrap her jacket around her shivering furry friend.
“It was very cold and windy out. I noticed that he was visibly shaking. She obviously noticed too because she immediately took off her jacket and covered the dog as he sat. Maybe she thought he would kick it off, so she bent down and zipped it up around him!” – Kristina Hollie
The adorable pup sat proudly in his spot while he was wrapped into her warm and cozy jacket. They shared a sweet head bump, and his mom began to walk into the post office.
“As soon as she got up and walked past me, I told her that what she did was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. She just replied, ‘Thank you! I don’t want him to be cold!’” – Kristina Hollie
Sitting on the sidewalk in his adorable ensemble, this cozy canine received a lot of attention. Pedestrians passing by couldn’t help but stop and take his picture and comment his comfy jacket. Several people passing by gave him a loving pat on the head, and immediately fell in love with the bundled-up pup.
Soon Hollie’s bus arrived at the stop and it was time to say goodbye to the dog who so proudly wore his mom’s coat. As her bus pulled away, she looked back at the lucky dog who has a mom that would do anything to keep her best furry friend warm.
We have no doubt that the caring fur mom would have brought her beloved companion inside if she could, but we’re so touched by the loving action she took to ensure his warmth!
