Your Support Allowed All Of These Cuties To Be Saved

| August 11, 2021

iHeartDogs works closely with Greater Good Charities by donating part of each sale to their various charity efforts. One of these programs, Rescue Bank, works to donate quality dog food to shelters and animal rescues in need. Some organizations could not run without kind donations like this, so by supporting us you’re making happy endings like the ones below possible!

When they were first found, Scout, Posh, and Ryder were feral puppies infected with parvovirus. In this fragile state, they desperately needed help. There are vaccines to protect puppies against parvo, but untreated the disease can be fatal.

Fortunately, California Bully Crew, a Rescue Bank partner in Redlands, CA, took these puppies into their care when they needed it most. The vital combination of urgent medical attention, proper nutrition, and lots of love saved these three lives.

That was back in 2018, and it didn’t take long for all three to find forever homes. California Bully Crew knew these puppies deserved a better life, and Rescue Bank made it possible for them to take three new dogs under their wing.

So, if you’ve ever shopped the eligible products on the iHeartDogs.com store, you can feel good knowing your purchase helped saved lives.

How Rescue Bank Factors In

Proper nutrition is important for a dog’s health, especially when they’re a growing puppy. California Bully Crew receives nutritious food donations through Rescue Bank, which is what you can see these pups enjoying below.

Rescue Bank operates on a food bank model. That means they receive food donations from manufacturers and retailers and distribute them to their partner organizations.

When nutritious pet food nears its “best by” date, has minor packaging defects, or is being re-branded, manufacturers will donate that food. Then, Rescue Bank makes food grants to community-based animal welfare groups.

These donations are vital for animal welfare groups, who are then able to allocate their food funds to other important things like costly medical care. California Bully Crew shared:

“The rescue bank provides us food to feed 50+ dogs. This not only helps us keep healthy dogs on the right track, but it also helps us in healing and attending to those who are in need of medical care. We couldn’t do it without you!”

The looks on those dogs’ faces as they finally enjoy a nutritious meal is just another reason why you can feel good shopping the iHeartDogs.com store.
