“4-Legged Houdini” Escapes Onto Roof Twice In One Hour

Huskies truly are the magicians of the dog world. If you don’t believe me, just check out this video of 3 blue-eyed escape artists busting their way out of their baby-gated kitchen.

Maverick, an aptly named Husky Houdini from Pennsylvania, likes a bit of danger with his escape artistry. He broke out of an upstairs window and onto the roof – twice – in under an hour!

Kristin, the dog’s owner had gone out to run a few errands. While she was gone, Maverick apparently decided he could use a little fresh air. He nudged open a second story window, knocked out the screen, and sauntered onto the roof!

Concerned neighbors saw him perched up there and contacted the fire department who easily coaxed the friendly pooch back inside. But less than an hour later they were called back again! Capt. Mark Boncal with the Nanticoke Fire Department told News Channel 25:

“It seemed impossible but not surprising. We pulled up, and there was the dog. It was sitting on the porch roof, just looking at us,”

Kristen revealed to News 25 that this is not the first time Maverick has pulled the window stunt – although he’s never attempted it twice in one hour! When she first adopted him, his previous owner warned her that he was “a magician” – and now the entire neighborhood knows why!

All the windows at Kristen’s home will remain locked from now on, keeping Maverick safely inside and the Fire Department free from dog-on-roof calls!
