The Pennsylvania police are searching for the woman who left an emaciated dog at the shelter. The dog, now named Annie, weighed only 6 pounds. Not only was she emaciated, she had open wounds on her body and she was covered in fleas.
Poor Annie was left on a crate just outside the Peaceable Kingdom Animal Shelter in Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania by a certain woman. Little did that woman know that the shelter had security cameras outside. Here’s a photo of the woman who abandoned Annie:

Annie is a Poodle mix and when they found her, she had no fat in her body. She was skin and bones–and her skin had wounds, and she had lot of ticks. She also has severe anemia.

The shelter is now taking care of Annie, giving her the treatment necessary so she can fully recover. Her treatment is projected to cost somewhere around $1,000. You can help Annie recover by sending a donation to Peaceable Kingdom Animal Shelter, if you like.
