When you purchase products from the iHeartDogs store, some of that profit goes to Greater Good Charities. Through Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program, healthy meals and other essential supplies are donated to shelters and rescues. Many dogs have better lives because of these incredible donations.
Pet Project for Pets in Wilton Manors, FL does a lot for animals in need, such as collecting dog food to give to animal organizations. Some of their food donations come from the GOODS Program, allowing them to help even more homeless pets.
Augie is one of the many dogs who have benefitted from these donations. A rescue group that was taking in some dogs had no room for him, so one of the Pet Project volunteers agreed to foster him for a little while. During that time, he had plenty of food and toys because of generous donations.
A Better Life for Augie
It didn’t take long for Augie’s foster mom to fall in love with him and decide to keep him. Despite being called a “foster fail,” adopting your foster dog is never a failure at all because doing so gives the dog a loving place to call home.
Augie’s family discovered that he’s about 7 or 8 years old, but he has just as much love and energy as a young dog. He now has a great life and gets spoiled by other volunteers at Pet Project whenever he visits them.
With donations from the GOODS Program, Pet Project can supply more food, toys, and other essentials to the organizations that need them. Shelters and rescues receiving these donations no longer have to worry about spending money on food, allowing them to focus on other areas of care, such as medical needs.
“For our clients, the ability to save on the expense of goods and supplies is monumental,” Pet Project for Pets wrote.
Every time you shop at the iHeartDogs store, you’re helping dogs like Augie get a second chance at life. Even small purchases can make a huge impact for dogs in need. So, thank you to all the heroes who have bought products to give animals better lives.
