When Boris the Pit Bull was just a puppy, he was at Needy Paws Rescue, dreaming of a forever home. At the time, he had mange, a skin disease caused by mites. But if you saw Boris today, you’d have no idea that he was that sad little pup. Now, Boris is a healthy, Instagram-famous dog with plenty of people to love him. His parents decided to spoil him even more by throwing him an extravagant party for his 3rd birthday. What a lucky pup!
When Alley and Alex Bardon first met Boris at the rescue, they fell in love with him right away. They decided to foster him back in 2017, but after only two weeks, they knew that he was a part of their family. So, once Boris was neutered, they adopted him, ready to give him a lifetime of love.
Boris’ Birthday Celebration!
Ever since the couple adopted Boris, they knew that he was a special dog. So, for his 3rd birthday, they decided that they had to go all out. 15 guests attended the party, and Boris was presented with a delicious peanut butter cake from a local bakery called Treats Unleashed.
The human guests at the party all wore custom shirts with Boris’ face on them. The birthday boy himself had plenty of special outfits as well including a birthday hat and bandana. Alley and Alex even hired a special photographer to capture photos of the beautiful event.
“Nobody could believe that we were having a full-on party for a dog,” said Alley. “We had a peanut-flavored cake. The two chihuahuas who came were picky so Boris had the whole thing to himself over a few days.”
Luckily, this adorable party didn’t cost the couple too much money. Alley said that it came out to a total of $90 because she was able to trade some of her art to pay for part of it. However, you can’t put a price on Boris’ happiness.
The Instagram-Famous Pit Bull
The photos taken during the event were all posted to Boris’ Instagram, which was created not long after he was adopted. On his Instagram, his parents share lots of adorable photos of him in different outfits. He always looks like a happy pup, but he seemed extra excited in his birthday photos.
So far, Boris has over 40,000 Instagram followers. His parents guess that this number will likely continue to increase. He has lots of paid sponsorship deals, so Boris gets plenty of awesome dog supplies for free!
3 years ago, Boris was just like any other puppy at the shelter, but now he has an amazing life of being pampered and loved. He is so lucky to have found a family to adopt him and give him the life he deserves. Every rescue dog should be given an amazing life like Boris!
