They say it is during the hardest times in our lives that we discover who our true friends really are. They are the kind of friends who stick with you through good times and bad. That’s why we adore this friendship between a silky chicken and a Chihuahua. Not only are they very different, but they have found comfort in each other during difficult times.
Penny the Chicken was rescued from a testing facility when she was 9 weeks old. She was experimented on, and would’ve been disposed if she wasn’t rescued. She became a spoiled chicken who goes with her mom to work at the Duluth Animal Hospital.
Roo the Chihuahua was born without front legs. He was found freezing to death and was brought to the hospital where Penny’s mom is working. It was there that Penny and Roo met for the first time. Penny sat down on Roo to keep him warm. And there their beautiful friendship began!
Ever since then, the two are inseparable! They do everything together, spending time at work, during holidays, and even during bath time! They have such a special friendship!
