Senior Rescue Dogs Dress As “Harry Potter” Characters For Halloween

| Published on October 25, 2017

The pups at the Vintage Pet Rescue in Rhode Island live a good life. All enjoying their Golden Years, each of the senior residents were pulled from shelters and welcomed into the loving home of Kristen and Marc Peralta to enjoy their retirement. (You may remember Nougat and Clarence, two members of the pack who became best friends!)

This Halloween, things are going to get festive for the Peralta pets. The dozen dogs who live there will be donning their “Dogwarts” gear and dressing up as Harry Potter characters!

“I love Harry Potter and my original plan was to just dress Nougat up as Dobby because he looks like a little elf,” Kristen told iHeartDogs. “But then we decided to dress up the whole crew. It was really fun seeing everyone run around in their house robes.”

Best buds Nougat and Clarence have striking similarities to Dobby and Harry Potter.

Maude is much too sweet to be compared to Dolores Umbridge, but this little lady is a vision in the color pink.

Although they have clever costumes, these frosty-furred pups plan on staying in and relaxing this Halloween.

“We’ll probably just have a quiet night at home and spoil them with treats!” Kristen said.

These photos aren’t just adorable, they prove that older dogs are calm, gentle companions with big personalities and mellow demeanors.

“I just can’t stress enough how wonderful senior animals are. They are so full of love and they appreciate a loving home,” the dog-mom added.
