Meet Bullet, Sarena Moore’s service dog. He was by her side when she took her last breath and died during the shooting rampage at Umpqua Community College. A day after the massacre, police officers brought Bullet home to Sarena’s fiance, Travis Dow. The couple got Bullet about 7 months ago. It was Sarena Moore who trained Bullet to be her service dog.

Sarena Moore believed in using animals to heal people. Her dream was to open a ranch that offered horses for therapy. Now the one doing that is Bullet who is bringing comfort to her loved ones whom she left behind. His quiet presence and caring attitude helps them and since Sarena and Bullet were inseparable before, her loved ones feel her presence when they are with Bullet.

Life is short. We will never know when the day will come when our loved one will leave us. Not everyone is lucky as Travis Dow and the Moore family are in having Bullet. They have something that was a part of her life; Bullet is proof that she once lived, loved and worked hard to try to make a difference despite her disability. Share this vid and let’s show everyone that service dogs go over and beyond what they are trained to do!
