Woman Posts Heartbreaking Tribute To Her Dying Dog On Twitter

When 21-year-old Amy Thompson found out her family’s beloved Golden Retriever, Archie, was losing his life to cancer, she started posting a touching tribute to him on her Twitter feed. Soon, people around the world were tuning in to see Thompson’s love for Archie and to give her their condolences. Over the course of several days, Thompson posted 19 tweets in a thread about Archie.

She started posting a thread of her favorite photos, videos, and memories of Archie, starting with this video of a relaxed Archie.

Here’s Archie on his favorite beach.

Thompson started the Twitter thread on October 29. By the next day, Archie’s health was starting to decline.

This one speaks for itself.

October 31 brought the sad news that it would be Archie’s last day.

Thompson followed a tweet that Archie fell asleep for the last time at 3:05 with this tweet that speaks for itself:

And she wrapped everything up beautifully with this family portrait.

Our hearts are with Amy and her family as they say goodbye to their beloved family member.
