We’ve seen dogs adopting other animals. We’ve even seen these mother dogs nurse other baby animals to keep them alive. But have you ever heard of a mother dog saving a human child by feeding him her milk? Well it did happen!
In Chile, a neglected and malnourished two-year-old boy was found being nursed by the neighbor’s dog after his drunken parents allegedly left him without food and water in the desert. When a neighbor saw the boy suckling on the pregnant dog, she immediately called the authorities. And when the police officers arrived at the scene, they found the boy naked, and they immediately took him to the hospital. The boy was found to have a skin infection and a lice infestation. Officials believe that the boy may have been kept alive because of the dog’s milk. Watch the video below for the full story!
It’s terrible that a mother could leave her child like that! I think the dog is a better mother than that boy’s mother!
The boy is now under the care of child welfare authorities after he was released from the hospital.
