Family’s Three Rescued Dogs Save Their Toddler From A Bear

| Published on August 3, 2015

A woman’s rescued dogs returned the favor when they saved her little girl from a 400-pound black bear.

Emily Wagner didn’t expect that her rescued dogs would rescue them in return. It was a seemingly ordinary Sunday morning when Emily’s daughter, Harper, was playing in the yard. Emily was sitting on the porch close by when she heard her daughter yell for her. When she looked up, she saw a black bear near her daughter. There had been news that a bear was spotted during night time. Emily didn’t expect that they’d come face to face with the bear in broad daylight. Their lives were in danger, then one of their rescue dogs, a Labrador mix named Chief, bravely grabbed the bear’s back leg to pull him away from Harper. Chief’s brave move gave Emily the chance to grab her daughter and run inside the house to call the police. Her other two rescue dogs joined Chief in chasing the bear away. Amazing! The dogs they saved, saved them in return! Chief and those two other dogs deserve a big reward for their bravery!
