Eye issues in puppy when running

I have a 6 month old cane. Since day 1 she’s had eye issues. She has entrophy in one eye which will require surgery once she turns a year old.
Now with taking her on longer runs/walks she has sore eyes afterwards – lots of clear drainage and swelling that looks like cherry eye. It clears up in 24 hrs but comes back every time we take her out for long runs.
Any advice??
