My name is Teddy and I was adopted from the North Shore Animal League. They didn’t tell my mom and dad how big I was going to be. At my new home I met my new brother Willie who was a German Shepard. He took good care of me and we played together a lot. He showed me how to guard the house. I also met my new sister Maggie who was a Yellow Lab. I didn’t know that she had a problem with her hips and it hurt her when I jumped on her. So I learned fast not to touch her backside and after awhile we became friends. Mom and Dad took us for long walks together and my brother and sister helped me learn a lot. We also went to school together (doggie day care) and I had a lot of fun and made new friends. My favorite thing to do is chase my ball. I LOVE MY BALL! Everything was great until one day mom and dad had to take Willie to the hospital, he was having trouble breathing and they found out he had cancer really bad. He passed April 12 at 8:35pm 2013. There was so much sadness and tears. Mom tried to explain to me and Maggie that Willie had a boo-boo that couldn’t be fixed and that he was with the angels now. Maggie and me kept looking for him in the house and in the yard but we couldn’t find him. Sometimes I think I see him now. Then a year later Maggie got sick and couldn’t walk anymore. I watched mom and dad carry her to the hospital and they found out she had a tumor on her spine. She was 11 years old now and that boo-boo couldn’t be fixed either. There was a lot of sadness and tears again and now I couldn’t find Maggie. Mom and Dad tried to comfort me with a lot of attention and love but I was sad for a long time. Sometimes I sense them both and I feel better. It’seems been three years since Maggie went to heaven and I think mom is trying to decide if I would like a new brother or sister or both. I think she wants to rescue them from somewhere that is not a good place to live. I will let you know what happens!
