I have an 8 month old Rottweiler puppy and she will not stop jumping on people when they come in the house or come down from upstairs, is there anything that I can do to break her of this habit? She also jumps on tables and counters.

She needs to learn that jumping up on people will not get her positive attention. When you come in the house or downstairs you need to make her sit and stay in order to get attention. When she jumps instead of sitting immediately push her down saying “sit” and do not give her attention until she does what you want. Eventually she will learn that when she comes up to you if she sits and waits she will get positive attention. Some dogs catch on very quickly and others take a little more time but being consistent and making sure everyone in your home is doing the same training is the key. Also
Rotti’s being eager to please makes them catch on to this quite easily.
