We will never understand why some people in this world are so cruel to animals. How could they be capable of such evil? Are these people really so heartless that they cannot feel sorry when they hurt these poor defenseless creatures?
In Paris, a guy named Pedro Dinis was just walking his dog when he discovered something so heartbreaking. He saw a French Mastiff, and at first he thought that the dog was just sitting in the dirt. But when he looked closer, he realized that the poor thing has been buried alive.
According to Pedro, only her head was visible and it was difficult to see given the amount of earth that was covering her.
Somebody deliberately buried her and left her there for dead. Her leash was even tied to a sack of gravel to prevent her from freeing herself.
As a dog lover himself, Pedro acted quickly to help the dog.
Pedro and his dog removed the stones and the soil that surrounding and covering the poor thing.
The dog was in shock and dehydrated. Pedro gave her some water and then she was taken to the vet.
The police were able to track down the dog’s owner, and he denied the allegations. But sources say that he is guilty and is expected to be charged with animal cruelty.
The dog is now taken cared of and is expected to recover. We are just thankful that Pedro was there to rescue her on time.
It really breaks our hearts when we see animals abandoned, neglected, or worse, tortured. But a glimmer of hope shines, and our faith in humanity is somehow restored when we see more and more people like Pedro, who go out of their way to rescue animals in need. With people like them, it makes us think that maybe there is hope for this world and for humanity after all.
