The Fila Brasileiro is the Brazilian Mastiff and is a large working breed known for its aggression. They have been used as livestock guardians, hunting dogs, guard dogs and tracking dogs. Because of their naturally protective instincts, they are often considered a dangerous breed and are not recommended for families or first-time dog owners.
