You probably know that humans aren’t the only species who like to sing. Whales sing, birds sing, and of course, dogs sing. But, there might not be any better dog singer than Bleu. Bleu is a one-dog-show. She’s the frontman, the backup singer, and the instrument section! It’s safe to say that Bleu is the songbird of her generation.

A Literal Run-In With Fate Uncovered Bleu’s Talents

How does a dog find her inner star? The answer, my friends, is blowing in the wind. 4-year old Bleu accidentally discovered her musical gift when she literally ran into a set of wind chimes as a puppy. The rest is melodic history. Now, Bleu likes to stick her head into the wind chimes to make them play so that she can sing along. And sing along she does! Bleu really loves to belt it out, giving artists like Christina Aguilera, Aretha Franklin, and Axl Rose a run for their money!

Bleu’s mom, Ana Brown, told The Dodo about the day Bleu discovered her beautiful voice.

“When she was really, really little, like 4 months old, she walked outside and her head hit the wind chimes because they were down so low. We kinda freaked thinking that would be horrible for her ears — but she just started singing.”

Like every great musical artist, Bleu can put on a show! Sometimes she starts the musical party by wagging her tail into the chimes before she throws her head back to rock out.

“It’s the most precious thing when she looks at you and sings, hitting her head against the wind chimes. I don’t know if she loves the sound, or if she knows she can play it herself. It’s almost like she tries to keep in tune with it,” said Bleu’s mom-ager.

Bleu Is A Global Phenomenon

Music has a way of touching people from all backgrounds. Bleu’s musical ensembles are no different. The vocal pup has her own Facebook page where her mom uploads videos of Bleu’s performances. One of the videos has had nearly 20 million views! Fans from all around the globe have reached out to the starling.

If you’re wondering what other instruments she plays, wonder no more. Bleu only plays windchimes and she is very particular about which ones. Kind of like an artist with a particular piano or a specially made guitar. Bleu will only play one set of wind chimes and absolutely refuses to touch any others, no matter how nice. Art can’t be questioned.

Be sure to follow Bleu’s Facebook page to get special access to her performances. On top of her musical career, Bleu is also an advocate for colon cancer awareness. There’s no word yet on her stadium tour but we can hope!
