When a natural disaster occurs, the results are unpredictable and many times horrific. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear about these tragedies, and it often feels like, as outsiders, we are helpless.

A recent mudslide in Salgar, Colombia left more than 80 people dead. In the aftermath of that devastation, community members made an amazing rescue. A dog trapped in a wildly overflowing river was pulled out by brave police officers, who later administered CPR on the scared boy.

Such an amazing group effort to save this innocent dog’s life.
