#3 – Top Ingredients are Grains

If your dog’s food has more grains than meat, it’s not dog food. Remember, they are meat-eaters first and foremost, so make sure they are getting the meat proteins they need. A good rule of thumb: the first six ingredients should not include more than 3 grains.
