If you’ve never seen Morty the special needs Chihuahua before, your heart is about to melt. This tiny, one-eyed rescue pup has been through a lot in his life. But nothing will ever slow him down! And now, Morty has taken the internet by storm after sharing his adorable walk. He loves to strut his stuff like no one is watching.

Some dogs might be frustrated with a wobbly walk and only one eye, but Morty embraces it! He wants to show the world that being different is okay. And he’s doing so by also encouraging people to adopt dogs in need. What a hero!

Tiny Dog, Big Personality

Long Way Home Adoptables took in 4-year-old Morty in the fall of 2020. At the time, they called him Mufasa, despite being just a tiny little pup. From what the rescue knows about Morty, he had a rough start to life, but he has stayed strong every step of the way.

Watch on TikTok

Morty was likely deprived of oxygen for too long at birth. Because of that, he has an unusual walk and a permanent head tilt. He spent most of his life locked away in a bedroom or bathroom, and he had an ulcerated eye that his former humans hadn’t treated. At the rescue, he had to have his eye removed for his health and safety.

But none of those things hold Morty back! He has remained spunky and lively throughout his entire journey. Now, he has a forever family who spoils him and loves him for who he is, quirks and all. And after posting an adorable video of the pup’s walk, he soon became a social media star too!

Rescue Dog to Runway Model

Morty now has over 430,000 followers on TikTok, where his humans post adorable videos of him walking with different music in the background. It might sound simple, but once you see it, you can’t help but say “awe!” The way he trots around the house never gets old.

Morty’s family explained that his runway-worthy walks are for more than just smiles and laughs. Their goal is to promote adoption, spaying and neutering, and hopefully even donations. On their TikTok page, they have a link to a place where you can donate, adopt, and even buy Morty merch!

After all, who wouldn’t want to adopt after seeing a sweet rescue dog like Morty? Adopting a dog isn’t always what you’d expect, but rescue dogs know exactly how to steal your heart and give you endless happiness.
