Every time we see abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs, we lose our faith in humanity. But when see videos of these dogs getting rescued by kindhearted individuals, our faith in humanity is restored. In this world full of violence, there are still some kind souls out there who are willing to go out of their way, to help these poor defenseless animals. Just like the cop in the video below.

Everyone, meet Lori Briggs, a 22-year veteran of the Detroit Police Department. Briggs is currently working as an evidence tech, but other than her main job, she has another passion — helping dogs! When Briggs is off-duty, she hits the streets of Detroit in search of dogs who need help. Somebody even donated a van for her to use when she rescues the dogs. Watch the video below for the full story!

Isn’t she amazing?! We admire her for her passion and dedication in rescuing these dogs!

Keep up the great work, Lori Briggs! We hope there are more people like you in this world!
