Last weekend, Taiwan was rocked by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake. High-rise buildings toppled, many structures were damaged, 18 people lost their lives, and many were injured.
Rescuers came to search for survivors. Thankfully, a lot of people survived the earthquake. They were buried in rubble, but they were very grateful that they survived and they were rescued.
President Xi Jinping has sent condolences to compatriots in Taiwan after the M6.7 earthquake hit south Taiwan on Saturday. Xi said the government is willing to provide all aid needed.

But it wasn’t just humans who were rescued. A tiny dog was one of the survivors that the rescuers saved from underneath the rubble of a topped building.
This little dog was alive and was pulled from under the rubble of a 17-story building that collapsed during the earthquake.

We hope that that little dog will be reunited with his family.
A big thank you to the rescuers who saved and helped both humans and animals after the earthquake. We sure hope that they find more survivors.
